    Background

    As Binan Oil Production Plant entered the ultra-high water-cut stage of production, the original carbon steel pipeline network experienced increasingly severe operational challenges.

    Produced fluids containing water, crude oil, natural gas, and abrasive sand caused rapid internal corrosion and erosion, resulting in frequent pipeline failures and rising maintenance costs.

    The operator required a more reliable piping solution capable of delivering long service life under demanding oilfield conditions.

    Challenges

    The existing steel pipeline system faced several critical issues:

    • Severe internal corrosion caused by produced water.

    • Continuous erosion from sand carried by production fluids.

    • Hundreds of pipeline leak points and perforations every year.
